Son todavía muchos los amantes del Cine en Casa que consideran que en los sistemas basados en videoproyectores la pantalla de visualización tiene una importancia relativa que a lo sumo sólo se ve realzada por imperativos estéticos y prácticos. Sin embargo, la realidad está muy alejada de esta percepción por cuanto, al igual que sucede con la sala de escucha en el campo del audio, en el de la proyección de imágenes la calidad final está estrechamente vinculada a la de la pantalla de utilizada, hasta el punto de que un videoproyector de referencia con una pantalla mediocre proporcionará unas prestaciones inferiores que otro de inferior nivel complementado por una pantalla de calidad superior. Ello es debido a que en la pantalla de proyección se concentran una serie de parámetros que resultan fundamentales para optimizar parámetros tan importantes como la luminosidad (que depende directamente de la capacidad de la pantalla para reflejar los haces de luz que inciden en ella, lo que desde el punto de vista técnico se conoce como ganancia) y, sobre todo, la relación de contraste, a su vez responsable directo de la capacidad de discriminación de microdetalles y, en consecuencia, de la sensación de relieve que percibimos en las mejores salas cinematográficas. La extensa gama disponible permite satisfacer las exigencias de un amplio número de aplicaciones, estando constituida por varias series en formato 4:3 (Supreme/Clearpix 2, Supreme con Máscaras Superior e Inferior/Clearpix 2, Supreme Velour Fixed-Frame 4:3 y Le Wing 4:3) y una en formato panorámico (Le Wing 16:9). Asimismo, Screen Research ofrece mandos a distancia específicamente diseñados para el control tanto de pantallas motorizadas sencillas como con "masking".
